Riku Nevala

Aloitin judon vuonna 1988 Seinäjoen judoseurassa. Etenin parissa vuodessa oranssille vyölle saakka, mutta jätin harrastuksen koska kilpaileminen ei tuolloin kiinnostanut. 24 vuotta myöhemmin vanhempi poikani aloitti judoharrastuksen Budokanilla ja on nyt vihreävöinen. Minut houkuteltiin mukaan toimintaan 2015 ja olen siitä saakka toiminut seuran aktiivijäsenenä ja edennyt pikkuhiljaa siniselle vyölle. Myös nuorempi poikani on kiinnostunut judosta ja aloittaa syksyllä 2018 junnujudo-ryhmässä.

Toimin mm. Budokanin tiedottajana ja jäsenrekisterivastaavana. Olen suorittanut Suomen judoliiton koulutusjärjestelmän 1. tason valmentaja- ja ohjaajakoulutuksen ja toimin yhteistyössä Vaasan kaupungin liikuntapalveluiden sekä paikallisten koulujen kanssa tuodakseni judoa tunnetuksi nuorille. Pyrin viemään seuran digitalisaatiota eteenpäin, uskon että seuratoiminta voisi olla osittain automatisoitua tai ainakin hyvin pitkälle tietokoneavusteista.
